The evening started off with a pre-recorded segment. Doug E. Fresh has recently regained ownership of the company, but the board are none too happy with his actions recently, and have told him he will soon have to choose between running the company and being a competitor. He has a deadline of Mid November to make his decision.
The first match of the evening was the inaugural Berr Invitational Cup match. Joseph, Oliver and Bartholomew Berr made light work of the 25 piece Las Vegas Mass Choir, and promptly labelled the match degrading, requesting a fitting match next week. The board told them they’d get their wish, and a hardcore match it will be.
Next up was a match for the SCW Television Title, recently vacated when Droskarr was fired. Jesse Taylor and Venediktov have impressed since joining the federation, and they faced off against one another for the title. Taylor hit his potent ‘Comin’ off the tracks’ to seal the victory and his first taste of SCW gold.
The SCW legend Wolf took on impressive newcomer and current Hardcore Champion El Mundo next, in an attempt to prove he is worthy of a title shot at All In, where El Mundo has the chance to choose his opponent. The Wolf’s performance, however, will have done little to convince El Mundo, who sealed the victory with a roll up after Wolf tried to hit the Anarchy’s playpen too early.
Doug E. Fresh and JT Cash, who are not the best of friends to say the least, teamed up for an impressive victory over former Global Champion Agent Decipher Light and the legend MDK. A chair shot from Cash on the former General Manager was enough to seal the victory.
The main event was a Tornado Tag Falls Count Anywhere Elimination match between the Masked Men, whoever they may be, Damien Lester and the Masked Man, and The Serial Thrillas; David Cyclone and Insomnia. The three masked competitors exited the fray, followed by United Champion Cyclone, leaving Tag Champ Lester and Global Champ Insomnia face to face. A yakuza from the Global Champ sealed the win, but he was denied a celebration by a teased appearance from number former one contender Bella Lapanzer, though she did not arrive on stage.
Elsewhere during the show, Insomnia declared that, as Bella is now out injured, his partner Gayle Dicker is the number one contender for the Global Title. Venediktov and Taylor looked to cement their burgeoning rivalry with a tense confrontation backstage, and The Anti Establishment; Danny Crane and Cid Phoenix, declared from Paris that they will not be appearing on SCW Television until they receive some ‘love’ from the board and fans.
Tune into Wildcard next week to see how these stories develop further!
